Thanks to California’s Prop 2, chickens and other livestock are given a little more comfort before they are killed. While it didn’t turn the state into a vegan utopia, it was a small step. Unfortunately for farmers, this small step cost a lot more money. Naturally, they decided to pick up and move to Idaho. I can’t get rid of factory farms!
According to this article in Failure magazine, egg producers are quickly heading this way because of all the great animal rights works that has been done in California thus far. It’s really disappointing; they are banned in one place so they pack up and move somewhere else? I think every state needs something like Prop 2 and eventually something even better.
Where am I going to have to move to next?
