Saddest story.

A Meridian, Idaho resident may face animal cruelty charges for keeping up to 59 animals in his or her mobile home in what calls “deplorable conditions.” The animals include chinchillas, cats, rats, and birds; many of the cats have ear mites, fleas, and upper respiratory infections. None of the animals had food and their feces and urine was all over the small mobile home. The animals are fortunate enough to all be receiving medical attention, but they are all lacking in something as equally important: love. Twenty-seven of the cats at Simply Cats Adoption Center in Meridian are in need of foster homes. The owner hasn’t given up the pets yet, but I am hopeful that she will soon (or will be forced to) so they can go to much better homes. If you can’t foster a cat because of time or housing conflicts, the adoption center is also accepting donations. You can find a list of the things they need on the NWCN page, here.
