Thanksgiving-y Things

We aren’t all lucky enough to be adopted into a family who has a vegan Thanksgiving (also known as practice Thanksgiving) every year, but many of us are blessed to be relatively close to animal sanctuaries.

The closest one to southeast Idaho that I am aware of is Ching Farms in Riverton, Utah. It’s about a four-hour drive and very close to Salt Lake City. The reason I bring it up (aside from the fact that it’s amazing) is that they host a vegan Thanksgiving every year. This year’s feast is on November 12 and it’s $25 for adults ($15 for children). The price of the ticket includes a silent auction, the opportunity to hear from Karen Davis of the United Poultry Concern, and a delicious vegan feast.

Thanksgiving seems like it would be a meat lovers’ holiday, which is why I think this is so great.
